We tend to think we can go through this journey solo. Well, chances are you’ll need some friends at one point or another. Here are some of the following reasons.

 1.      Group work

Even in University, some classes, especially smaller ones, tend to have many group projects. You don’t have to necessarily have friends, however it is a lot easier and more fun to have someone you’re close to. It’s better to be sure you’re paired with someone you can get along with and that you’re sure you can rely on to complete the assignment.

2.       Keeping your head high

We’ve all experienced some sadness and lonesome when it comes to being a university student. Having some friends is always a plus. They’ll keep you motivated and happy! We sometimes lose our way, and need some guidance. Whenever I don’t do well after an assignment and need some reassurance, I go to my friends. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to feel better.

3.    Experiences

Meeting new people also means learning new things and meeting new experiences. As you’ve notices university is full of different culture and diversity. We’re lucky enough to meet such a variety of people so we should take advantage of it. You’d be surprised how much you can learn from your surrounding.

4.   Study buddies

Many of us have a difficult time knowing what to study and how. Some of us are more hands on, some verbal and other are better with writing. You might not realise it but group study session can be very helpful.  We might think we’ve understood all there is to study, but a second opinion can always go a long way. It’s also always good to have a friend help you study because they are there to help explain the things we don’t understand, that way we don’t have to invest in a tutor!😉
