Calling all out of state students! Attending the University of Rhode Island means going to school in the nation’s tiniest state. Therefore, the whole state is at your fingertips to explore. As a student at the University of Rhode Island, there are some places you just need to go before you graduate, so you can share your experience with family that has never been to little Rhody. Here are 5 places you need to visit in RI as a student at the University of Rhode Island.

1. Del’s Lemonade.

Although this is somewhere you need to wait until warmer months to go to, it is the best Rhode Island lemonade you will ever have. Del’s lemonade is a frozen lemonade chain only found in Rhode Island, and it is definitely worth the trip. After you try a cup of refreshing Del’s lemonade, you will want to tell your out-of-state family members all about it! Image result for del's lemonade

2. The Narragansett Beaches.

Since URI is located only 15 minutes away from all of the gorgeous RI beaches, it is a given that students need to visit the beaches at least once before graduation. The beautiful Rhode Island beaches can be a getaway for you and your friends on a hot weekend on campus, and you will love the gorgeous scenery that comes with laying out on the beach here in beautiful Rhode Island! Image result for narragansett beaches

3. Newport Creamery.

Newport Creamery is a restaurant chain found only in Rhode Island that originally started out as an ice cream shoppe. Although they sell dinner now, Newport Creamery is home to the famous “Awful Awful”, something every URI student should try if you are an out-of-stater. You will never forget the taste of this delicious milkshake as soon as you get your hands on one! Image result for newport creamery
