Jason Levy

Professor Levy has 5 out of 5 stars on ratemyprofessor. He teaches for the criminal justice department at VCU. The comments on his page suggest he is organized and humorous. He may give pop quizzes and a good amount of homework, but his charismatic personality and eagerness to help students make him one of VCU‘s favorites. He also has many comments commending his availability to students and his ability to provide clear grading criteria to his students.

Coleman Hall

Professor Hall has 5 out of 5 stars on ratemyprofessor. He teaches for the mathematics  department at VCU. This professor is highly respected among students due to is caring personality and empathy towards his students. He has been known to offer extra credit and gives great lectures. Because is class is not very difficult compared to other courses, he counts attendance regularly. Although, showing up to class routinely in exchange for a simple, painless workload seems reasonable.

Sonali Gulati

Professor Gulati has 5 out of 5 stars on ratemyprofessor. She teaches for the film department at VCU. Her class is not very difficult according to most votes. She has been known to inspire her students and gives great feedback on work. Many of her students also noted that her lectures were amazing. Many of her students not only found her to be a great teacher, but also a mentor who cared for them deeply. Many of her comments contain phrases much like, “I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for her”.

Chad Taylor

Professor Taylor has 5 out of 5 stars on ratemyprofessor. Chad Taylor teaches for the Geography department at VCU. His class has been known to not be hard, but you should still show up! This teacher has been noted to have clear grading criteria and offer good feedback. On ratemyprofessor, his class’s difficulty level rating is 1.3/5; because it is not challenging, your participation matters! Many students noted that if you fail to show up to class, then you will not pass.

Dale Mullen

Professor Mullen has 5 out of 5 stars on ratemyprofessor, and teaches for the forensic science department at VCU. His class has is not too challenging, but your participation is noted. He has been known to create exam study guides which can be extremely helpful. He is known for his sense of humor and his great lectures. Many students did not mind his attendance policy, saying “attendance is necessary, but he’s such a great lecturer”.

With this semester flying by, you’ll need to start thinking about who’s classes you’ll be taking next semester. If any of these professors teach in your field of study, try to get them!
