Steve MacLean, a famous Canadian astronaut holds both a bachelor of science and a doctorate degree in Physics from York. Steve is the recipient of the 1977 President’s Award at York University. His career is long and accomplished, holding the position of president at the Canadian Space Agency from September 2008 to February 2013 and being the very first Canadian to operate the Canadarm2.
