The first generalization of biology evolution through natural selection: * charles darwin put forward theory of evolution through natural selection. * this theory is often called the great unifying theory because this theory can be used to explain the great diversity of organisms found on earth as well as looking at the similarities between these organisms. What is the origin of life: extra-terrestrial origin/panspermia - the infection of spores from another planet/star. Theory is that life did not originate on earth, but there was life in the universe so life arrived from extra-terrestrial source evidence = meteorites found across the earth. Some meteorites contained what looked like fossilised cyanobacteria. Problems with theory it is unknown where the meteorite came from, so it could have been shot out by the earth into space and returned: special creation by supernatural of divine forces.
