Alzheimer"s disease is the most common form of dementia. Deposition of amyloid protein and the disruption of the neuronal cytoskeleton. Microtubules important: tau is a microtubule associated protein (map, abnormality in the way tau aggregates overproduction -> multimers form that aggregate and don"t get processed.
