E. g. how specific muscle attaches to skeleton. E. g. determine specific cells that comprise an individual muscles. E. g. how a muscles contracts, what forces are applied to bone upon contraction. Physiology : study of the functions of the anatomical structures (both individually + group). Histology : study of biological cells + tissues (using microscopes). Atom = smallest unit of matter (made of subatomic particles => proton, neutrons, electrons) molecule. Cell = basic unit of life that is composed of molecules. Organs = a group of the same tissue system = a group made up of organs. Atom => molecule => cells => tissue => organ => organ system => organism. Atom => protein molecule = > muscle cells => cardiac muscle tissue => heart => circulatory system => human.
