Lecture 9- Magnetic Force
Dipole—> two equal and opposite charges very closely separated 
E.g. bar magnet 
Fnet is small ones beings pulled and ones being pushed
When two magnets are close together they act more like monopoles 
When the magnets are further apart they act more like dipoles
Magnetic force
Comes from moving charges 
A charge which moves through an external magnetic field will experience a force
The magnetic force is always at a right angle to the velocity of a charged particle
If a particle enters a magnetic field it will travel in a circle —> because of the force 
If v and B are along the same axis Magnetic force =0 
Include sign with charge
