The central characteristic of anxiety disorder is: the feeling of excessive anxiety in the absence of any real threat. Parasympathetic calms the body, sympathetic in state of constant arousal. Most people with schizophrenia are diagnosed with the disorder in young adulthood (around 20-30 year of age).
