Positive learning framework continued: planning to prevent and teaching to prevent. Learning outcomes: name teacher behaviours that prevent behaviour problems in the classroom, name ways to promote positive behaviour, describe how to plan to prevent behaviour problems. Module 1 covered: a range of classroom management (cm) skills. Your position on student behaviour: connecting and building relationships with students. Influences on student behaviour and a needs based approach. Introduction to the principles and theory to guide effective practice. What module 2 will cover: plf in the primary context. The environment: responding to misbehaviour and restoring relationships, challenging behaviours, principal"s workshop. Framework of practice: plf: planning for prevention; self, layout, expectations, rules routines and procedures. Teaching for prevention; students engaged in meaningful learning experiences/motivation/transitions. Intervention; low key responses and more: restoration; give students a way back in, re-connect, clarify and restore relationship.
