Blue water is ground and surface water (e. g. rivers, lakes). Green water is rainwater stored in soil (i. e. soil moisture content). Green water is ignored by engineers because they can"t pipe or pump it, by economists because they can"t price it, and by governments because they can"t tax it (http://www. isric. org) Gray water is polluted water (through agriculture, industry and human use).
