Women"s bodies in politics: the politics of reproductive technologies. Abortion is a class issue - one"s economic status determines her ability to afford means of abortion and the care they require. The right of a woman to decide for herself whether or not to end a pregnancy is she doesn"t want to give birth to a child. The instinct to protect vulnerable human life, combines frick. Women have he right to make their own decisions about that happens inside their own bodies, including the right to end an unwanted pregnancy. The vast majority of abortions are performed in the first trimester (the first 12 weeks of pregnancy), when the fetus weighs less than 15g. Final-trimester abortions are very rare (less than 1:1000): the images anti-choice groups use represent size and levels of development. A fertilised egg, an embryo, an early stage fetus only represent potential human life.
