Interface ensures interacon of people with the system
Physical Interaction: pressing keys, clicking a mouse, touching a screen
Perceptually: what a person can see, hear and touch
Conceptually: people interact with the system/device via the mental model of the system

●Users make instrucons to a system
●Example: Terminals

●Users communicate with the system
●Example: Help System, iOS Siri
Manipulating
●Users interact with objects in a virtual or physical space
●Example: sound editors

●Users more through virtual environment or physical space
●Example: google street view
Interaction Styles
Provides look and the feel of the user interface components
Command language
Commands are issued one line at a me
Advantages:
●Flexibility and speed for expert users
○Good for repeve acons as well
●Provides sense of control for expert users
●Low resource usage
○Low overhead
○Relavely infrequent screen updates
Disadvantages:
●Training is necessary and beginners might feel overwhelmed
●Requires recalling exact syntax
●Poor error handling
