Mitigation = human interven4on to reduce the sources or enhance the sinks of greenhouse gases: adaption = the process of adjustment to actual or expected climate and its effects. Carbon dioxide removal (cdr) methods: these reduce concentralons of co2 in the atmosphere, allowing heat radialon to escape the earth more easily. Solar radia2on management (srm) methods: these reduce solar radialon received by the earth, by defleclng sunlight or by increasing refleclvity of the earth system. Land use management to enhance land carbon sinks. Biomass for carbon sequestralon (eg. , biochar: enhancement of natural weathering processes to remove co2 from the atmosphere. Ocean ferllisalon - enhancement of oceanic uptake of co2. Biochar: carbon sequestralon: biochar is a stable form of charcoal produced from healng natural organic materials (crop and other waste, woodchips, manure) in a high temperature, low oxygen process known as pyrolysis.
