Criminal responsibility is extended to a person who is a party to an offence. A single offence can be committed by more than one person, and each person may play different roles in the offence. Sometimes multiple people get together to commit a criminal offence and different people have different roles to play, and subsequently different levels of culpability with respect to committing that offence. Different levels of input who can be held criminally responsibly. Technically their can be one person who commits the offence in its entirety; if others help somehow they can still be held criminally responsible for the help that they give. You"re out on a friday night; you walk out and see a fight on along eagle street. Two offenders both punch a victim together (two against one in a fight) leaving him with broken bones in the face and serious bleeding. They can both be charged with the offence.
