Prospective cohort study on 10 randomly selected atsi babies by smith-vaugh (2007): 3-6 weeks - 7 out of 8 examined had otitis media (ot) 6-13 weeks - 10 out of 20 had otitis media (ot) As many as 8 out of 10 children could have an ear infection in the school year, impacting their learning and behavior. Children need to be screened at birth infancy and preschool.
