Symbols
o Use symbols to highlight repeated features (trees, stone walls, cable local, etc)
o The trees, symbol size can depict a tree canopy, tree trunk size
Contours
o A contour line joins points of equal height
o Contours represent a 3D surface on a 2D plane
o Contour line values are always simple values
o Contour interval CI is the height change between each contour, which is consistent across
the map
o Every 5th contour is drawn in a thicker darker line
