CADR1006 Lecture Notes - Lecture 1: Sydney Grammar School
Document Summary
Contemporary drawing introduces you to the idea that drawing can serve as a universal process relevant to all art practices and applications of creative thinking. This unit of study focuses on experimental drawing to encourage you to develop your own visual language as a catalyst for creative thought and a means to develop greater visual literacy. Experimental drawing opens the field of drawing into the exploration of both new and still to be discovered methods of mark making. You are encouraged to take risks, work collaboratively, and stretch your perceptions of the medium translating these experiences into a unique and speculative approach to the drawing process. You will develop a portfolio and establish archives of source material that you can draw on for future creative endeavours. Assessment research file (50%) and final work (50%)
