Varicella, adenovirus, cmv: medications (<10%), anti-inflammatory, antibiotics, anticonvulsants, collagen vascular diseases, may be idiopathic. Stevens johnson syndrome: wide spread mucosal and skin ulceration which can be severe and life threatening rare complication of medication use, most commonly antibiotics/fungals/virals, anticonvulsants, anti-inflammatories. Variant: toxic epidermal necrolysis: diffuse necrosis and sloughing of epithelium (>30% bsa) - looks like extensive burns.
