Duane really started to create that southern rock sound. Duane had been camping outside of fame studios for a long time trying to convince them to let him record. As soon as he brought it to the band, they changed some things around so in the opening there is a dropped beat and then reverts back to straight 3. The allman brothers were signed to the capricorn label. After two studio albums they released live at fillmore east which did very well. In 1971, duane passed away in a motorcycle accident.
