OBJECTIVES
ACTG 1P12, Introduction to Accounting II (along with ACTG 1P11), is designed to introduce
students to the principal sub-disciplines of accounting including Financial Reporting, Managerial
Accounting, Systems, Public Accounting, and Taxation. The primary emphasis is on financial
reporting, and on using accounting information for planning, control and decision making. A
writing component and a systems project offer you the opportunity to develop specific skills.
