Uses dead chicken to lure them in. Soft bodies advantageous for living in ocean depths. Modifications of appendages some are arms and others are tentacles. Has well-developed sensory (good eyes can see phosphorescence), and nervous systems. Has a well-developed digestive system (2-way gut because they are predators) Pen is the remnants of its shell (hard, solid: works as a stiffening rod where muscles can work against the stiffener and are more effective (advantage) Predator defense mechanism: spraying ink and then disappears. Side note: apocematism: visual signals animals use to advertise they are poisonous, has strong colours, especially stripes (black and white)
