If you were a parent, would you let your teenager"s boyfriend or girlfriend spend the. Restricted with issues about sexuality in regards to young people: us parents: Extremely high pregnancy rate compared to in the: dutch parents: Young people are born perfect but society wrecks their development. Aren"t able to make good decisions: vulnerable/victimized, easily corrupted, hurt. Don"t give young people enough credit with the decisions they make: sex as antithetical to innocence. Make them open to danger & closer to being corrupt. We have become increasingly : repressive, in victorian era and prior, children were aware of sex, saw it in the home, were not shielded from it. More open in regards to sex & sexual activity. Parents would share rooms with their children. No locks on doors: but now, we do everything possible to hide it from kids. Childhood innocence and sex: assumed non-sexuality, sexuality not seen as part of childhood, children seen as asexual; no desire.
