Children and youth: depression, anxiety, eating disorders, adhd, learning disorders, autism. Gain basic knowledge about principles of therapy with children and adolescents. Lecture outlines (not slides) will be posted on sakai a day before the lecture. All seminars are standard individual opinions, critical thinking is important. Flexible format (a) focus on the main topic (b) make connections with your experiences, future goals (c) refer to the lecture content. Midterms all multiple choice (25%), chapters 1,2,3,5,6,7. October 15, no lecture after the exam. Final all multiple choice (35%), chapter 8-14, bullying and adolescence included seminars not included. You are responsible to textbook material and lecture notes. Special topic: how to write a review paper. Involves 2 steps: outline (5%, final paper (15%) Outline (5%: deadline: october 1, 2012 in class, goal -> feedback, format, page 8 (outline, page 10 (grading) Paper topic: any topic that is related to child and adolescent mental health issues.
