Confirmation from birth mom that she was in fact drinking during pregnancy. Sometimes you can"t do no admission: fetal alcohol effects - fae. A teratogen is a substance that interferes with the normal development of the fetus. Specifically, alcohol is a neuro-behavioural teratogen - alcohol can damage the brain and change behaviour.
