Tuskegee study of untreated syphilis in the negro male. Diagnosed with latent syphilis- showed no obvious symptoms at that stage. For 40 years they were never told or treated. Curious why nazi officers were so obedient. 40 male subjects were recruited via mail and a newspaper ad. Researcher deceiving the participant that they are shocking the student. Wanted to see how far the teachers are shocking. Analyzed anonymous, casual same-sex partners in public restrooms (tea-rooming) Set himself up in a washroom to watch these partners. Followed these people back to their car and took down their license plate to get their home address. Went to their house and asked questions. Photos and evidence of medical experimentation being conducted in camps. Physicians and researchers had special permission from hitler to carry out these crimes. Advise subjects of potential risks and benefits.
