This is a rather straightforward story: a young family set out to go on a trip to florida. Grandmother wants to go to tennessee instead, and warns them about the escaped prisoner between them and florida. They travel and squabble as travelling families do, until the. Grandmother asks them to turn off the highway to go and look at an old plantation she had visited as a child. She lures them there with the fiction of buried treasure (argh! silver!). She"s mistaken, though, because the house is actually in a different state. Embarrassed, she panics and disturbs the family cat, who jumps up on bailey (the father) causing him to panic.
