The soldiers did what they were told to do even though the orders were wrong. It"s an order they can"t question it or answer back. Theirs but to do and die they know they"re going to die, they have to do it anyways. The soldiers are brave for following the orders. There was no reason to do this but a complete screw up by the military. Men are meant to fight and die. Heroic masculinity they fought for their country. Cannonballs landed here and missed their shot. Illustrated london news did show dead bodies though. You could have our dead loved ones photographed to. By not putting bodies taking out the human element. Maybe he was asked to not take pictures of bodies: military paintings.
