Having detailed surveillance throughout cities would bene t communities and investigated of cials in many ways. Criminals often follow through with organized crime that deem low risk situations. Having regulated surveillance of communities would make criminals think again before committing crimes that could be easily followed up on. More detailed analysis showed that improved street lighting was more effective in reducing crime in city centres, that both were more effective in reducing property crimes than violent crimes (welsh & farrington, 2004).
