Biomedical perspective focuses solely on the tumor, and decides it would be an easy fix to simply cut off her breasts, to eliminate the cancer. However this causes issues for the woman"s self perseption of sexuality, feminity etc. Meso - smaller institutions (family), relationships with others. Sociological imagination - difference between individual troubles and higher order societal problems. Individuals use the food bank, which is an individual trouble, however the fact that 70% of brock grad students use the foodbank, becomes a social problem that needs to be rectified using policies. Sociology of health - how healthcare is organized, what are consequences and predictors of how it is organized. Sociology in health - focuses on social determinants of disease and health status.
