Where do first domain children of migrant families meet english: school. Expected to interact in english = normal language talking to other children including brothers, sisters. Speaking good english = sign of successful assimilation. What about home language maintained: language maintenance determined by size of language group. Have school and churches that meet every week to work on the language.
