Rule for order of adjectives is opinion, size, age, shape, colour, origin, material, purpose. The systematic study of how people study a second language and the people who are learning the second language. Second language is a typically a dominant language needed for education, employment or other purposes. Additional language is called l2 even if it is the person"s third or fourth language. Foreign language is a language not indigenous to land where you live. Library language just used in formal study, like latin. Auxiliary language is one which learners need to know for some official functions in their immediate political setting or will need for purposes of wider communication, although their first language serve most other needs in their lives. In china alone, 155 million people study english. Spanish was top foreign language studied in usa in 2016.
