Reason: inappropriate responses in conversation (first noticed at 4 years) Due to delayed language skills or to travis" adhd. Mother"s concerns: travis often makes comments in conversation that do not relate to the current topic. Listeners often have trouble understanding what travis says because of inappropriate comments. Classic hallmarks of cognitive abilities and how does it play in communication. Temp. of 104 degrees f for 48 hours, strep blood sepsis , age unclear. However we don"t know much about it. Adhd diagnosed at 4. 5 years, 10 mg ritalin x3 a day. Preschool (2nd year), 2. 5 hours x2 days/week. Had difficulty getting along with other children and in complying with school rules prior to adhd diagnosis. Some of the information that might be given and how we get through in a clinical interview. More important to describe nature of child"s language disorder. Ie. someone has developmental delay (ie. a stroke) child"s has a hearing impairment.
