Find new ways to extract resources without damaging environment. Connect 3 major parks containing eastern lowland gorillas. These groups were displaced when parks were created. Give chunk of land for people to live on. Destructive of gorillas because must kill adults to get children. Difficult to take tourists out or count how many gorillas there are because of danger. Military may take over local groups and turn it into a slave trade where locals see no profit. Meet needs of community as well as needs of environment. These people will always be around and need resources in order to survive. Now koko can speak as an ambassador for gorillas. Gorillas use a system of gestures (like sign language) to communicate. Where penny and ron work and koko and michael live.
