Research is also political to varying degrees. This prompts us to think of silences and omissions. There is no research that is value free, non-political, etc. May be trying to be as neutral as possible and not trying to solve political questions but this is bound to happen. The politics of research generally comes out at the beginning stages of research. Particular things are asked and particular things are ignored. Still need to do research and question things. Social justice is our motivation but our research needs to therefore be more precise and detail orie(cid:374)ted (cid:271)e(cid:272)ause (cid:373)a(cid:374)y people do(cid:374)"t agree with so(cid:272)ial justi(cid:272)e. Rather than it be about imposing it is about guiding. Not giving us the answers but pointing us to areas of importance. Without this lens then people who experience difficulties would not be considered or deemed important. Does not state the solutions but guides you to the problem. Guide you to a particular topic, group, or emphasis.
