The kind of media and culture we seek out reflect our own comfort zones and reflects our own belief systems. What we actively seek out or remember are perspectives that we identify or agree with. In the act of engaging in an idea or form of media, we distort it. We immediately transform it into something that is more comfortable and therefore do not see what is really trying to be said. What it is to be truly powerful, in the sense of having power over others. One way of having power is being coercive or violent or using fear.
