Diagnosis and evaluation are ongoing and diagnosis changes. Identifies if there could be a disorder, just a yes or no checklist. Formal ones which include standardized, norm referenced test. Criterion referenced tests identify what one can and cannot do based on predetermined. Informal ones which are function, observational criterion (does not compare with others) Predicted outcome of proposed course of treatment for client. Age (younger identified faster to get better) Length of time impairment has existed (too long makes it harder)
