Lecture - the meeting: the problem of personal identity. A worry for his parents during first 2 years. Followed by 7 years of set backs. Some say he will grow out of it. Now tommy attends school for exceptional children and has been there for one month. His father harry attends a school meeting while his mother babysits tommy (because his behaviour is characterized by methodically destructive, and he is always screaming) Bingham county school for exception children - headmistress. Harry asks headmistress if tommy will be like everyone else. The school says they will try to help him live up to his potential. Asks if there has been any real improvement in the course of the month. He drew a face, though he methodically destroyed it after. Seems to have entered conspiracy with another boy having him steal toys for him. It seems destructive behaviour is sign of genuine improvement. It also seems he could be worse off.
