Yes we do need science because things contradict themselves and science can clear those things up. Science has produced a lot of things, things that we need as well as things that we don"t want. It helps us answer questions that are dif cult to answer, science has produced things that are useful, and things that are bad. Science is one way to understand, and predict the world we live in. Scientists are like sailors who must rebuild their boat, plank by plank, not in dry-dock, but at sea. The process is never nished but the ship is getting better all the time. Science is a numbers game, science is best done where science is best served. You have to put it out into the world to see if your theory works, and it is also on going. Only one way to do something - lies. There is 45 different ways to transport the human heart into a body.
