Use of power: the least effective power bases, coercive, legitimate and reward, but: easiest to implement, expert power tends to be most influential. Physical program: structured by kinesiology people before program started, very structured, 40 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of circuit training, 5 km run was a target. ****expert power******-kinesiology experts told them what to do and they preferred that. ***midterm** principal investigator (p. i)- most important person on the research team, typically the one who writes the paper and their name goes first on everything, you get all the major credit. Types of evidence: primary, secondary, tertiary, grey literature. Primary sources: published studies, written by the people who actually did the research. Refereed journal (peer review: a panel of scientific experts review the paper, edit the paper, determine if it is of a high enough standard to be published.
