According to our mission and vision, health canada"s goal is for canada to be among the countries with the healthiest people in the world. Relies on high-quality scientific research as the basis for our work. Conducts ongoing consultations with canadians to determine how to best meet their long-term health care needs. Communicates information about disease prevention to protect canadians from avoidable risks. Encourages canadians to take an active role in their health, such as increasing their level of physical activity and eating well. From 1900-2000: huge decline in illness caused by germs/infections. From 1900-2000: huge increase in illnesses caused by lifestyle factors (heart disease, cancer etc) Pneumonia-society , decided to treat this illness with everything we have-we no longer accept the healthcare system saying, he had pneumonia so he died . Why do we not accept thiswe were fine with it 50 years ago. No one, chooses to get an infection. Do you think society should help us stay healthy.
