Breaking down the oil with this dispersant makes it easier for these chemicals to reach more and more of the ecosystem, as far down as the microorganisms at the bottom of the food chain. [oil is a complex chemical compound including pahs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) process of refining separates the oil into its parts, then redistributing/"recycling" the parts to make other materials such as plastic and fertilizer.
