Final essay: use writing as a skill, but also coming to the writing process with some type of interest and some type of creative purpose. Hint for exam: research design question that asks us to write a qualitative research question about a topic. Challenges: difficult of condense, non-standardized, doesn"t take standard form, explain. Writing process: getting started, free writing flow of consciousness writing, outlining helps come up with ideas and how they logically connect, drafting & revising write, and then edit your work, intros and conclusions. Writing as a communication: always want to be thinking about the audience, who are we writing for. Imagine a reader who is sympathetic, who is non judgmental, and open: write like you are talking to someone, and express it to someone who is willing to learn about the topic. Writing as learned: writing it important to the analysis itself, writing to make sense of the data, learning as we are going into the writing.
