Document Summary

The bird beaks representing the tools are as follows: the tweezers- represents birds like the warblers wrens and orioles. This beak enables it to dip into flowers and suck nectar without necessarily sitting on the flower: the pliers- represents seed eating beaks for example those of the sparrows or flycatcher. Describe how the development of a special beak shape could affect a bird species" survival. For birds to survive they must obtain enough amounts of food from their habitat and the key tool for this to happen is through their beaks. The more efficient a bird"s beak is the better its chances of surviving in that particular habitat. An example is two different types of birds in the same habitat but one species has long thin beaks for eating insects and the other has a short thick beak for nut eating.
