Primates communicate with one another through vocal systems and visual displays. Chimpanzees have up to 66 visual displays. 60% of human communication is non verbal. (non verbal means signs, postures, gestures etc. ) What it does hypothalamus regulates autonomic nervous system. Hippocampus convert short to long-term memory. We have non verbal communication that"s tied to limbic system (involuntary. We use space and we use it at an unconscious level. Animals work on flight distance, contact and non contact species, all species react when crowded. Human populations have cultural norms of how we should and should not react. In some cultures sound is something if you don"t see it, you don"t hear it. None of these are right or wrong they are culturally determined. When trained some non-human primates can get some of it, What makes humans particularly unique is the fact of how much language they can use. Language is something that seems to be used exclusively as humans.
