Need to be more open-minded about other marriage systems. How people are related to one another. Includes biological descent and affiliation through social practices like marriage. How kinship relations are formed and reckoned varies from one culture to another. Social identity- clan, lineage, sub-lineage- who you are. Livelihood- occupation, career, etc. might be passed down or your lineage is confined to a certain job. Home- e. g. when married, woman moves into husband"s parents house, etc.
