Sir george gilbert scott: restoration of gothic revival introducing new elements to churches, such as spires and ornament which were not authentic. Viollet le duc: permanent/ irreversible, non authentic interventions looked down upon by modern conservationists. Anti restoration movement (ruskin/morris): against restoration as it is a falsification/ destruction of the monument but supports stabilization. Completed by joan albert addell and albert riu. Oigin of st. pere de rodes is unknown. Declared a national monument in the year 1930. 1st restoration upon the structure in 1935. The original cloister (x) was found by archeologists in 1989 (kept as secret for about 800 years just below the xii- was filled up).
