Evaluation: participation 10, journal 45, comparing methods 25, group presentation 20% Participation is essential to the success of this course. It is imperative that you attend classes and be prepared to discuss the assigned readings. Weekly response (10%): due every week beginning sept. 16. Each week you are expected to be prepared to discuss all of the required texts (any changes to the course readings will be announced in class and/or through email). Answer the questions posted on culearn in about 250 words and submit your response in or before class. Responses will be evaluated on completeness (1% per week). Journal entries (35%): due oct. 7 and dec. 2. After the class, expand on your response in a journal entry. The entries should be written in paragraph form at a length of about 500 words per entry and will be submitted periodically for evaluation.
