Final (40%) only second half of course: feb 13th = national gallery of canada (12:30-1:30), costs 8$, come early and meet at entrance attendance will be taken, worth 5/20 marks for essay (5% of final grade) 17th century baroque era (barroco different meanings) Term used by philiosophers to describe an obstacle in logic, obscures understanding, distorted idea. In portuguese, jewellers term for an irregularly shaped pearl highly beautiful, somewhat deformed/not perfect. These works tend to be exaggerated/dramatic, sometimes odd, definitely over- decorated.
