Dwarf mistletoe is a holoparasite called because directly attaches to another plant and steals the nutrients from it. Adaptations to grow in direct sunlight small surface area with small leaves. Buttercup - tiny leaves and they are angled. Sand dunes are extremely sunny and hot places. Plants here often have leaves that are highly dissected.
